Chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients/Components

• butter, softened - 1 c
• brown sugar - 1 c
• white sugar - 1 c
• vanilla - 2 tsp
• eggs, beaten lightly - 2 item
• sifted flour - 3 c
• soda - 1 tsp
• salt - 1 tsp
• chopped nuts - 1 c
• semi-sweet chocolate chips - 1 pkg

How to make chocolate chip cookies:

Add the sugars to the softened shortening; add the vanilla and eggs. Add the dry ingredients, nuts and chocolate chips. Drop onto cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for about 8 minutes. Yields 5 dozen.
