Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- pkg - 14 oz
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- water
- chocolate chips - 1/2 c
- margarine - 1/4 c
- can sweetened condensed milk - 14 oz
- Wesson oil - 1/3 c
- chocolate cake mix
How to make chocolate caramel cake:
Grease and flour 13 x 9-inch pan. Prepare cake mix, using oil, eggs and water. Pour half of batter into pan. Bake for 15 minutes in 350° oven.In heavy saucepan over low heat, melt caramels and margarine. Stir in condensed milk. Reserve 1/2 cup mixture. Pour remaining caramel mixture over baked cake. Pour remaining cake batter over caramel mixture. Spread evenly. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes. Remove and cool 5 minutes. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and drizzle caramel mixture on top.
