- egg whites - 10 item
- cup of sugar - 1 item
- teaspoon of salt - 1/2 item
- cup of cocoa - 1/4 item
- 1/2 cups of powdered sugar - 1 item
- cup of cake flour - 1 item
- 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar - 1 item
How to make chocolate cake:
Sift together sugars, flour and cocoa. Set aside. Beat egg whites, cream of tartar and salt until soft peaks form. Add sugar a little at a time beating until stiff peaks form. Fold in flour mixture. Spoon into an ungreased angel food cake pan. Remove air pockets by running a knife through it. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Chocolate, Cakes.
