Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- milk - 1 c
- flour - 5 Tbsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- stick butter - 1 item
- dark chocolate cake mix - 1 item
- dark chocolate canned frosting - 1 item
How to make chocolate cake:
Bake chocolate cake as directed in round cake pans. Cool. Slice layers in half.For filling, mix together milk and flour. Put on stove at low temperature and cook until it thickens. Put in refrigerator until cool. Next, cream together butter, shortening and sugar. Add cold mixture, then beat for 10 minutes on high speed. Spread filling between layers. Top with chocolate frosting. Makes a large cake. Freezes well. Keep in refrigerator.
