Chocolate bread pudding
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- margarine - 1 Tbsp
- milk, scalded - 2 c
- unsweetened chocolate 1 oz - 1 sq
- raisin bread, torn into very small pieces - 1 c
How to make chocolate bread pudding:
Preheat oven to 350°. Heat margarine and chocolate in milk until melted. Pour over bread. Beat egg whites until stiff. Beat yolks. Blend sugar into yolks. Mix egg yolk mixture into bread mixture. Fold in egg whites. Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole. Bake about 40 minutes. Serve warm. Top with whipped nondairy topping.Recipe categories: Desserts, Puddings and mousses, Weeknight.
