Ingredients/Components

  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
  • chili powder - 1 Tbsp
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • medium onion - 1 item
  • cans water - 2 item
  • sugar optional - 1 Tbsp
  • bacon - 1/4 lb
  • pod garlic - 1 item
  • salt and cayenne pepper - 1 item
  • few drops lemon juice optional - 1 item
  • small can tomato paste Contadina preferred - 1 item
  • can tomato sauce Contadina preferred - 1 item

How to make chili spaghetti:

Cut bacon in small pieces and crisp. Pour off most of the grease. Chop 1 medium-size onion. Crush 1 pod garlic. Cook until onion is tender. Remove from skillet. Open tomato paste and heat to remove any excess liquid. Add tomato sauce and water. Simmer slowly; add chili powder, salt and pepper (cayenne) to taste. Simmer slowly at least 45 minutes. Cook spaghetti as directed on package. This is good with plain lettuce salad and French bread (garlic butter).
