Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- salt - 2 Tbsp
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- vinegar - 1 c
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- green onions - 4 item
- celery seed - 1/4 tsp
- green peppers - 4 item
- hot peppers - 8 item
- ripe tomatoes - 1 gal
How to make chili sauce:
Drain off juice from cooked tomatoes. Mix vegetables, salt and sugar. Cook slowly about 3 1/2 hours. Add vinegar and spices; can. Makes 5 pints.Recipe categories: Low protein, Condiments, etc., Main dish.
