Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- vinegar - 1 c
- cloves - 2 tsp
- green peppers - 2 item
- onions - 2 item
- large ripe tomatoes - 12 item
How to make chili sauce:
Grind the first 3 ingredients. Put in a large pot. Add remaining ingredients. Boil slowly for 3 hours, uncovered. Pour into sterilized jars and seal tightly. Great with meat loaf or any meat dishes. Makes about 5 1/2 pints. Green tomatoes can be used.Recipe categories: Low protein, Condiments, etc., Main dish.
