Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 4 c
- cinnamon - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 4 Tbsp
- vinegar - 2 qt
- allspice - 1 Tbsp
- ground cloves - 1 Tbsp
- paprika - 1 Tbsp
- red pepper - 1 Tbsp
- green peppers - 2 doz
- onions - 3 lb
- red peppers - 1 doz
- bunches celery - 2 item
- bushel ripe tomatoes, dipped in boiling water and peeled - 1/2 item
How to make chili sauce:
Dice tomatoes, chop peppers, onions and celery in blender or food processor. Combine all ingredients in large pot and boil about 2 1/2 hours. Place in hot, sterilized canning jars. Yield: 20 pints.Recipe categories: Low protein, Condiments, etc., Main dish.
