Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- salt - 1/4 c
- cider vinegar - 6 c
- ground cloves - 1 tsp
- ground cinnamon - 1 tsp
- ground nutmeg - 1 tsp
- ground allspice - 1 tsp
- onions, sliced - 8 item
- large green peppers, chopped - 6 item
- large ripe tomatoes - 24 item
How to make chili sauce:
Skin tomatoes and combine with other ingredients. Boil for about 3 hours. Stir to keep from sticking. Add red pepper pod, if desired. Pour into sterilized jars while hot and seal. Yield: Approximately 6 pints.Recipe categories: Low protein, Condiments, etc., Main dish.
