  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • self-rising flour - 2 c
  • box light brown sugar - 1 item

How to make chewy squares:

Melt margarine. Add sugar and eggs. Mix well. Gradually add vanilla. Mix flour well with other mixture. Add salt and nuts. Mix well. Grease and flour 9 x 12-inch pan. Bake at 325° for 25 to 30 minutes.
