Chewy brownie cookies

Ingredients/Components

• eggs - 3 item
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• water - 1 tsp
• baking soda - 1/4 tsp
• all-purpose flour
• Crisco shortening - 2/3 c
• firmly packed light brown sugar

How to make chewy brownie cookies:

Heat oven to 375°. Place sheets of foil on countertop for cooling cookies.

Combine Crisco, light brown sugar, water and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Beat eggs into creamed mixture.

Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Mix into creamed mixture at low speed, just until blended. Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart. Bake for 7 to 9 minutes. Do not overcook. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet.
