  • sugar
  • eggs - 3 item
  • butter - 1/4 lb
  • vinegar
  • pie crust - 1 item
  • plain corn meal

How to make chess pie:

Melt butter in saucepan and slowly stir sugar into it. Mix vinegar with corn meal and add to mixture. Slightly cool, add slightly beaten eggs. Stir well and pour into pie pan lined with uncooked pastry. Bake at 425° for 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 275° and cook for 40 minutes.
