Cheeseburger casserole
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter - 1 item
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- dry mustard - 1/8 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- chopped celery - 2 Tbsp
- prepared mustard - 1 Tbsp
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- ground beef - 1/2 lb
- shredded cheese - 1 c
- slices day old bread - 8 item
How to make cheeseburger casserole:
Toast bread; butter both sides. Cut in half diagonally. In skillet, mix ground beef, onion, prepared mustard and salt. Cook and stir over medium heat until meat is slightly browned. Arrange toast, hamburger mixture and cheese in alternate layers in a greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch deep pan. Mix egg, milk, salt, pepper and dry mustard. Pour over layers in pan. Sprinkle with paprika, if desired. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Ground beef.
