Cauliflower and broccoli salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1 c
- dry mustard - 2 tsp
- white wine vinegar - 1/2 c
- fresh mushrooms, sliced - 1/2 lb
- celery, sliced - 3/4 c
- dried Italian seasoning - 1 Tbsp
- small jar chopped pimento - 1 item
- red onion, sliced and rings separated - 1 item
- broccoli, broken into flowerets - 1 lb
- small cauliflower, broken into flowerets - 1 item
How to make cauliflower and broccoli salad:
Combine first five ingredients and set aside. Combine oil and next five ingredients, whisking until dressing homogenizes. Pour over vegetables and toss to coat well. With a slotted spoon, mound on Boston lettuce or curly endive. Garnish with chopped pimento.
