Caramel fudge cake
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- margarine or butter - 1/2 c
- can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk - 1 oz
- 25 oz - 1 box
- coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts - 1 c
How to make caramel fudge cake:
You will need 1 greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan.Preheat oven to 350°. Prepare cake mix according to directions. Pour 2 cups of batter into prepared pan; bake 15 minutes.
Melt caramels and margarine (either in microwave or in heavy saucepan over low heat). Remove from heat. Add sweetened condensed milk; mix well. Spread caramel mixture evenly over cake.
Spread remaining cake batter over caramel mixture. Top with nuts. Return to oven; bake 30 to 35 minutes longer or until cake springs back when lightly touched. Cool.
