Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cornstarch - 1 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- allspice - 1/2 tsp
- water - 10 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- lemon juice - 3 Tbsp
- apples - 1 item
How to make canned apple pie filling:
Mix sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, allspice and water. Boil until thick. Add salt and lemon. Have apples packed into jars, pour sugar mixture over apples and seal. Boil in water for 30 minutes. Makes 7 cans.Recipe categories: Low protein, Fruit, Apple.
