California coleslaw
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cider vinegar
- salad oil - 1/2 c
- minced parsley - 3 Tbsp
- white pepper - 1/4 tsp
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- red pepper, chopped - 1 item
- small carrot, grated - 1 item
- small head cabbage, shredded - 1 item
- small white onion, chopped - 1 item
How to make california coleslaw:
Dressing:1/2 c. cider vinegar1/2 tsp. salt1/2 c. salad oil3 Tbsp. sugar1/4 tsp. white pepper Combine cabbage, onion, green and red peppers, carrot and parsley. Toss to mix. Combine the vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper and oil in a jar or shaker. Shake to blend.Pour mixed dressing over slaw. Cover and chill. Gently toss at serving time.
Note: This slaw will keep for several days in the refrigerator.
