Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- cornstarch
- egg yolks, beaten - 3 item
- whole milk - 2 c
- brown sugar, firmed
How to make butterscotch pie:
Mix sugar, cornstarch, milk and eggs. Cook until very thick. Remove from heat. Add vanilla, butter and the 2 tablespoons brown sugar. Let cool. Pour in a baked pie shell. Add meringue. Bake in a 400° oven until brown.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
