  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • cornstarch
  • egg yolks, beaten - 3 item
  • whole milk - 2 c
  • brown sugar, firmed

How to make butterscotch pie:

Mix sugar, cornstarch, milk and eggs. Cook until very thick. Remove from heat. Add vanilla, butter and the 2 tablespoons brown sugar. Let cool. Pour in a baked pie shell. Add meringue. Bake in a 400° oven until brown.
