Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/4 c
- sifted flour - 3/4 c
- light brown sugar, packed - 1 c
- broken nuts - 1/2 c
How to make butterscotch brownies:
Heat oven to 350° (moderate). Melt shortening. Remove from heat and blend in sugar. Cool. Stir in egg, then sifted dry ingredients. Add vanilla and nuts. Spread in greased 8-inch square pan.
