large container Cool Whip - 1 item
chopped pecans optional
box fudge brownie mix - 1 item
small or 1 large box instant chocolate pudding - 2 item
chocolate toffee candy bars Heath or Skor - 8 item

How to make brownie trifle:

Make brownies following directions on box. Cool. Make chocolate pudding following box directions, using 1 cup less milk. This will make pudding thick. Chop candy bars and pecans.

Layer trifle bowl with 1/2 of brownies, 1/2 of pecans, 1/2 of chocolate pudding, 1/2 Cool Whip and 1/2 of candy bars, then repeat. Top with chocolate shavings.
