Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/2 c
- sifted flour
- fresh blueberries - 2 c
How to make blueberry cake:
Cream shortening and sugar; add egg. Add sifted dry ingredients, alternately with milk. Batter will be stiff. Carefully fold in blueberries. Turn into greased 12 x 8 x 2-inch pan; sprinkle top with sugar. Bake in 350° oven for 45 minutes (325° for glass pan). Serve warm with whipped cream.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Blueberries.
