Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- large eggs - 5 item
- flour, sifted - 2 c
- lemon extract - 1 tsp
- sticks margarine room temperature - 2 item
- black walnuts 4 1/4 oz - 1 c
How to make black walnut cake:
Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Beat at high speed for 5 minutes. Pour into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Test for doneness with toothpick. Cool a few minutes in pan. Turn out onto cooling rack. Cool thoroughly before storing; wrap with plastic.Note: This cake is good plain or may be glazed.
