  • pkg - 1 oz
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • sugar - 1/3 c
  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • mini-chocolate chips
  • flour
  • cocoa - 1/4 c
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • water - 1 c
  • oil - 1/3 c
  • white vinegar - 1 Tbsp
  • vanilla - 1 tsp

How to make black bottom cupcakes:

Batter:1 1/2 c. flour1 c. sugar1/4 c. cocoa1 tsp. baking soda1/2 tsp. salt1 c. water1/3 c. oil1 Tbsp. white vinegar1 tsp. vanilla Combine filling ingredients, except chocolate chips, and beat well. Stir in chocolate chips and set aside. Sift together first 5 batter ingredients; add remaining batter ingredients and beat well.

Use small muffin tins. Fill cupcake liners about 3/4 full with chocolate batter, then drop a teaspoon of cream cheese mixture in the top center of each cupcake. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes. Makes 35 to 40 small cupcakes. May be frozen.
