Ingredients/Components

  • can cut green beans, drained - 1 item
  • can cut yellow wax beans, drained - 1 item
  • can kidney beans, drained - 1 item
  • bell pepper, sliced thin - 1 item
  • medium onion, sliced thin - 1 item
  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • olive oil - 1/3 c
  • white vinegar - 2/3 c
  • garlic salt - 1 item

How to make bean salad:

Drain beans thoroughly. In large bowl, combine all beans and toss lightly with onion and bell pepper. Dissolve sugar in vinegar. Add salts, pepper and oil; mix well. Pour dressing over beans; mix to coat well. Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours or overnight.

Note: To make Four Bean Salad, add 1 can garbanzo beans (chickpeas) and increase oil to 1/2 cup.
