Bean salad
Ingredients/Components
- can cut green beans, drained - 1 item
- can cut yellow wax beans, drained - 1 item
- can kidney beans, drained - 1 item
- bell pepper, sliced thin - 1 item
- medium onion, sliced thin - 1 item
- sugar - 3/4 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- olive oil - 1/3 c
- white vinegar - 2/3 c
- garlic salt - 1 item
How to make bean salad:
Drain beans thoroughly. In large bowl, combine all beans and toss lightly with onion and bell pepper. Dissolve sugar in vinegar. Add salts, pepper and oil; mix well. Pour dressing over beans; mix to coat well. Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours or overnight.Note: To make Four Bean Salad, add 1 can garbanzo beans (chickpeas) and increase oil to 1/2 cup.
