Ingredients/Components

  • green bell pepper - 1 item
  • red onion - 1 item
  • can each: kidney beans, green beans, garbanzo beans chickpeas and wax beans - 1 item
  • each: sugar, vinegar and vegetable oil

How to make bean salad:

Dressing:1/2 c. each: sugar, vinegar and vegetable oil Dressing: Mix ingredients and heat to the boiling point. Cool.

While dressing is cooling, drain and rinse all the beans. Peel the onion and chop into "bite-size" pieces. Core the bell pepper and cut into "bite-size" pieces. Mix beans, onion and pepper in a large bowl and pour the dressing over them. Toss very gently and cover tightly. Marinate in refrigerator for 2 days, tossing gently once or twice a day.
