Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- butter - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- chopped walnuts - 1 c
- mashed bananas - 1 c
- sour milk - 1 c
How to make banana walnut cake:
Frosting:5 Tbsp. flour1 c. milk1 c. butter1 c. sugar1 tsp. vanilla Cream first 6 ingredients. Blend dry ingredients. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Add nuts. Bake 1/2 hour at 350° in greased 9 x 12-inch cake pan.Frosting: Cook milk and flour until thickened. Cool. Beat butter, sugar and vanilla into flour/milk mixture. Butter should be cool (not melted). Take from refrigerator about 1/2 hour before using. Frost and enjoy!
