Applesauce pecan bread
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- cup flour - 2 item
- cup vegetable oil - 1/3 item
- cup chopped pecans - 1/4 item
- cup sugar - 1 item
- cup light brown sugar - 1/4 item
- cup finely chopped pecans - 1 item
- cup canned applesauce - 1 item
- cup mixed candied fruit, if desired - 1/2 item
How to make applesauce pecan bread:
Beat eggs until foamy, stir in applesauce, sugar, oil and milk. Gradually add dry ingredients, stir in nuts and candied fruit. Spread in greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch pan. Sprinkle on top cinnamon, brown sugar and chopped pecans, press lightly with hand. Bake 350° for 1 hour. Can sprinkle confectionary sugar to cover top last 1/2 hour if too brown.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Apple.
