Applesauce nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- milk - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1/3 c
- applesauce - 1 c
How to make applesauce nut bread:
Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl; beat at medium speed of mixer for 1 minute. Set aside. Combine flour, soda, baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, salt and nutmeg. Add to applesauce mixture. Beat until smooth. Stir in pecans and vanilla. Spoon batter into a greased and floured 5 x 9 x 3-inch loaf pan. Combine remaining pecans, brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Sprinkle over batter and bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and cover loosely with foil; return to oven for 40 minutes. Uncover and let cool 10 minutes in pan, then remove.Recipe categories: Low protein, Breads, Very low carbs.
