Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- brown sugar - 1 c
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 1 tsp
- shortening - 3 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- sliced apples - 5 c
How to make apple pan dowdy:
Biscuit Topping:1 c. flour3 Tbsp. shortening1 tsp. baking powder3/4 c. milk Cook together brown sugar, flour, salt, vinegar, water, cinnamon, nutmeg, butter, vanilla and lemon juice. Place apples in 9 x 13-inch pan and pour mixture over apples. Combine ingredients for biscuit topping and drop on top of apples.
