  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • flour - 2 c
  • brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • water - 1 c
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
  • white sugar - 1/2 c
  • diced fruit - 2 c
  • chopped nuts or raisins - 1 c

How to make apple or pear cake:

Put all ingredients in saucepan. Cook until clear, stirring all the time. Add 3 tablespoons butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Stir until butter is melted. Serve over individual servings.
