Apple crisp
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- granulated sugar - 1/2 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- water - 1/2 c
- all-purpose flour - 3/4 c
- brown sugar, firmly packed - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- peeled, sliced apples - 6 c
How to make apple crisp:
Arrange prepared apples in well-greased 9-inch square pan or well-greased 2-quart casserole. Sprinkle with water and lemon juice. Spoon flour into dry measuring cup. Level off and pour measured flour into bowl. Add sugars and cinnamon to flour. Stir well to blend. Cut in butter with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Spoon crumb mixture evenly over apples. Bake at 375° for 40 to 50 minutes. Yields 9 servings.Recipe categories: Desserts, Apple, Cobblers and crisps.
