Apple crisp
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- packed brown sugar - 1 c
- flour - 1 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1 c
- rolled oats - 3/4 c
- chopped and peeled apples - 4 c
How to make apple crisp:
Combine first 4 ingredients. Cut in butter until crumbly. Press 1/2 into greased 9 x 9-inch baking dish. Cover with apples. In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, water and vanilla. Cook and stir until thick and clear. Pour over apples. Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture. Bake at 350° for about 1 hour until apples are tender.
