Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- egg whites - 4 item
- whipping cream - 1 c
- finely chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- baked pie shell - 1 item
How to make angel food pie:
Beat egg whites until almost stiff. Add 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat until mixture stands alone. Pour into baked pie shell. Place in a slow oven (300°) and bake until whites are slightly browned, about 30 minutes. Remove from oven and cool. Whip cream, add 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
