Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- buttermilk - 2 c
- shortening - 3/4 c
- self-rising flour - 5 c
- warm water - 2 Tbsp
- yeast - 1 pkg
How to make angel biscuits:
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Sift flour and add sugar. Cut in shortening; add yeast and buttermilk. Knead. Make as biscuits. Do not allow to rise before baking. Bake at 400° for 15 minutes.Recipe categories: Breads, Rolls/biscuits, Yeast breads.
