  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 4 item
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • buttermilk - 1 qt
  • baking soda - 5 tsp
  • boiling water - 2 c
  • sifted flour - 5 c
  • salad oil - 1 c
  • bran flakes - 4 c
  • 100% Bran Buds - 2 c

How to make 30 day bran muffins:

Pour boiling water over 100% Bran. Cool. Beat together sugar, oil and eggs. Add dry ingredients. Alternate with buttermilk. Stir in bran flakes and 100% Bran. Spoon batter into greased muffin pan. Bake 20 minutes at 400°. Makes 4 to 6 dozen muffins. Keep batter in covered container up to 30 days in refrigerator and bake as needed.
