Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 4 item
- salt - 2 tsp
- buttermilk - 1 qt
- baking soda - 5 tsp
- boiling water - 2 c
- sifted flour - 5 c
- salad oil - 1 c
- bran flakes - 4 c
- 100% Bran Buds - 2 c
How to make 30 day bran muffins:
Pour boiling water over 100% Bran. Cool. Beat together sugar, oil and eggs. Add dry ingredients. Alternate with buttermilk. Stir in bran flakes and 100% Bran. Spoon batter into greased muffin pan. Bake 20 minutes at 400°. Makes 4 to 6 dozen muffins. Keep batter in covered container up to 30 days in refrigerator and bake as needed.Recipe categories: Breads, Quick breads, Muffins.
