- salt - 1 tsp
- oil - 1/4 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- buttermilk - 2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- nonfat dry milk - 1/4 c
- whole wheat flour - 1 c
- wheat germ - 1/4 c
- oats - 1 c
How to make whole-grain pancakes:
Variations: Add grated apple, applesauce or blueberries.In a large bowl, combine oats, flour, wheat germ, dry milk, soda, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, beat eggs; add buttermilk and oil. Stir liquid ingredients into dry ingredients until blended. Spoon onto 350° greased griddle. Makes 12 to 15 pancakes (4 to 6 servings).
