Wassail punch
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2/3 c
- water - 7 c
- whole cloves - 1/4 pkg
- cinnamon sticks - 1/4 pkg
- can pineapple juice - 1 oz
- whole allspice - 1/4 pkg
- cranberry juice - 2 c
- can frozen Hawaiian Punch concentrate - 1 oz
How to make wassail punch:
Combine cranberry juice, sugar and water. Stir to dissolve sugar and heat to boiling. Tie spices into a cheesecloth bag. Add to liquid and simmer 20 minutes. Remove spice bag. Just before serving, add frozen juices and pineapple juice. Serve steaming hot. Makes about 1 gallon. I serve this in mugs.Recipe categories: Drinks, Punch beverage, Heirloom/historical.
