Vegetable salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1 Tbsp
- vinegar - 3/4 c
- Crisco oil - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- small jar pimentos - 1 item
- bell pepper optional - 1 c
- can whole kernel corn - 1 item
- can French-style green beans - 1 item
- can small green beans - 1 item
How to make vegetable salad:
Dressing:1 c. sugar1/2 c. Crisco oil3/4 c. vinegar1 tsp. salt1 tsp. pepper1 Tbsp. water Drain the first 4 items, then add the celery, onion and bell pepper.Dressing: Mix ingredients together and bring to a full boil. Let cool. Pour over vegetables and set in refrigerator overnight. Keep sealed and will keep a month.
