Twenty-four hour slaw
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- oil - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- dry mustard - 1/2 Tbsp
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- celery seed - 1/2 Tbsp
- chopped cabbage - 6 c
- small onions, cut into rings - 2 item
How to make twenty-four hour slaw:
Layer onions and cabbage alternately in a deep bowl. Combine remaining ingredients except oil in a saucepan. Bring to a boil; remove from heat. Stir in salad oil. Pour evenly over vegetables. Do not stir. Chill in refrigerator overnight.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low sodium, Salads.
