  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • all-purpose flour - 1 c
  • peanut butter - 1/3 c
  • quick cooking oatmeal - 1 c
  • soft margarine - 6 Tbsp

How to make toffee bars:

Combine butter, granulated and brown sugar in a large bowl. Cream with mixer for 1 minute. Add egg, peanut butter and vanilla. Beat 1 minute longer. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture with oatmeal. Spread batter evenly over
