Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- garlic powder - 1/8 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- chili powder
- shredded lettuce - 1 c
- chopped tomato - 1/4 c
- ground beef - 3/4 lb
- ground cumin - 3/4 tsp
- red pepper - 1/8 tsp
- sliced black olives - 1/8 c
- can tomatoes, chopped - 8 oz
- cottage cheese, drained - 1 c
- Monterey Jack cheese with peppers - 1/2 c
- to 6 tortillas corn - 5 item
- Add all spices and tomatoes; heat through
How to make taco casserole:
Brown beef; drain. Add all spices and tomatoes; heat through. Cover bottom of 8 x 8-inch baking dish with 1/2 tortillas. Pour beef mixture over tortillas, place 2nd layer of tortillas over meat mixture. Combine cheeses and egg; pour over tortillas and bake for 30 minutes at 350°.Topping:1/4 c. grated Cheddar cheese1 c. shredded lettuce1/4 c. chopped tomato1/4 c. chopped onion1/8 c. sliced black olives Combine and sprinkle on hot casserole.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Ground beef.
