Sunshine salad
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 3 oz
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- 2 can crushed pineapple
- cups cold water - 1-1/2 item
- cup sugar - 2/3 item
- diced bananas - 2 item
- cup whipped cream - 1 item
- grated cheese, optional - 1 item
- cups boiling water - 2 item
- cups miniature marshmallows - 1-1/2 item
How to make sunshine salad:
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water; stir in cold water. Chill until thickened. Drain pineapple; reserve juice. Mix pineapple and bananas. Add to jello along with marshmallows. Mix well. Pour into a 9x13 pan and chill until firm.Mix sugar, flour, egg and pineapple juice in a saucepan. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Cool; fold in whipped cream. Pour on top of salad. Sprinkle grated cheese on top, if desired.
