Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 5 c
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- mashed strawberries - 6 c
How to make strawberry jam:
Mix berries with sugar. Cook rapidly until thick (about 20 minutes). Add lemon juice a few minutes before cooking is complete. Pour into sterilized Kerr jars to within 1/4-inch of top. Put on cap. Screw band firmly tight. Process in boiling water bath 10 minutes. Yield: 5 (8 ounce) jars.Recipe categories: Strawberry, Condiments, etc., Jams and preserves.
