  • sugar - 1 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • sour cream - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • cream of tartar - 3/4 tsp
  • lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
  • pureed strawberries - 1 c

How to make strawberry bread:

Preheat oven to 350°. Cream butter and sugar; add vanilla and lemon. Beat until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Sift together flour, salt, cream of tartar and baking soda. Mix together sour cream and strawberries alternately. Fold flour mixture and strawberry mixture into egg mixture. Pour into greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan and bake for 1 hour. This is great warm with strawberries and whipped cream.
