  • sugar
  • eggs - 4 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • sour cream - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • butter - 1 c
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • cream of tartar - 1 tsp
  • lemon extract - 1/4 tsp
  • broken nuts - 1 c
  • strawberry jam - 1 c

How to make strawberry nut bread:

Cream butter, sugar, vanilla and lemon extract until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift dry ingredients. Combine jam and sour cream. Add to creamed mixture, alternating with dry ingredients. Beat well. Divide into 2 greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 350° for 50 to 55 minutes or until done. Cool 10 minutes. Can be baked in 5 little pans or 3 medium pans.
