Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 3 tsp
- water - 8 c
- grated carrots - 1 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onions - 1/2 c
- sliced celery - 1 c
- barley - 3/4 c
- cubed potatoes - 2 c
- beef cross cut - 2 lb
How to make stone soup:
In a large pot combine beef, water, salt and pepper; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; add the barley, celery, carrots, onions and potatoes. Simmer for two hours. After two hours stir in the milk and serve with bread. Serves 10 to 12.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low fat, Soups & stews.
