Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 tsp
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • garlic salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • Parmesan cheese - 1/3 c
  • chopped green pepper - 1/4 c
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • cottage cheese - 8 oz
  • oregano - 1 tsp
  • can tomato paste - 1 oz
  • Mozzarella cheese - 2 oz
  • spaghetti - 6 oz
  • well beaten eggs - 2 item
  • can cut up tomatoes - 1 oz

How to make spaghetti pie:

Cook spaghetti according to box; drain. Stir into hot spaghetti the butter, Parmesan cheese and eggs. Pack mixture onto bottom and sides of a 10-inch pie plate. Spread the cottage cheese over spaghetti crust. Cook the ground beef, onion and pepper until tender and brown. Drain off fat. Add undrained tomatoes, paste, sugar, oregano and garlic salt. Spread the heated mixture over spaghetti crust.

Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese. Return to oven for 5 minutes.
