  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 6 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • sour cream - 1 c
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • baking soda - 1/4 tsp
  • stick butter - 1 item
  • plain flour - 3 c
  • lemon extract - 1 Tbsp
  • lemon extract or juice extra, for later - 1 item

How to make sour cream and lemon pound cake:

Cream butter and margarine with sugar, vanilla and lemon extract until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well. Sift flour and soda together and add alternately with sour cream to egg mixture, mixing at low speed. Blend well but do not overmix. Pour into 9-inch tube pan that has been greased and floured. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
