Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 1 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- baking soda - 1/4 tsp
- stick butter - 1 item
- plain flour - 3 c
- lemon extract - 1 Tbsp
- lemon extract or juice extra, for later - 1 item
How to make sour cream and lemon pound cake:
Cream butter and margarine with sugar, vanilla and lemon extract until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well. Sift flour and soda together and add alternately with sour cream to egg mixture, mixing at low speed. Blend well but do not overmix. Pour into 9-inch tube pan that has been greased and floured.
