Snickerdoodles

Ingredients/Components

• sugar
• eggs - 2 item
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• salt - 1/4 tsp
• flour
• baking soda - 1 tsp
• shortening - 1/2 c
• cream of tartar - 2 tsp
• cinnamon and sugar - 3 Tbsp
• regular margarine - 1/2 c

How to make snickerdoodles:

Sift together the flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt; set aside. At medium speed, blend the margarine, shortening and 1 1/2 cups sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time; blend well after each. Add vanilla; blend well. Gradually stir dry ingredients into creamed mixture with spoon. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Bake on ungreased sheet in a 400° oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
