Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- cream of tartar - 2 tsp
- cinnamon and sugar - 3 Tbsp
- regular margarine - 1/2 c
How to make snickerdoodles:
Sift together the flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt; set aside. At medium speed, blend the margarine, shortening and 1 1/2 cups sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time; blend well after each. Add vanilla; blend well. Gradually stir dry ingredients into creamed mixture with spoon. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
